The Astrum CL740 is designed for devices that support USB-C Power Delivery (PD) charging. If your laptop charges through a round barrel connector rather than a USB-C port, this is not the correct charger. Instead, choose one of Astrum’s barrel-tip laptop chargers.
If your laptop supports USB-C Power Delivery, the CL740 replaces your original charger while also charging your tablet, smartphone, and other compatible USB-C devices.
90W USB-C Power Delivery
Delivering up to 90W USB-C Power Delivery, the CL740 charges most 13-15-inch USB-C laptops at their intended charging speed. Because it follows the industry-standard USB-C Power Delivery specification rather than a proprietary charging connector, it remains compatible even when you upgrade to another USB-C laptop.
5V to 20V – Intelligent Power Negotiation
The built-in Smart IC automatically negotiates the correct charging profile for every connected device. Supported USB-C PD output profiles include 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/3A, 15V/3A, and 20V/4.5A, allowing the charger to safely power everything from smartphones and tablets to full-sized USB-C laptops without manual configuration.
Four-Way Protection
An intelligent protection IC continuously monitors the charging process and helps protect connected devices against Over-Voltage Protection (OVP), Over-Current Protection (OCP), Short-Circuit Protection (SCP), and Over-Temperature Protection (OTP), providing safe and reliable charging every time.
UL94 V-0 Flame-Retardant Housing
The charger housing is manufactured from UL94 V-0 rated ABS material, one of the highest flame-retardant standards for electronic enclosures. If exposed to flame, the material self-extinguishes quickly and does not produce flaming drips, providing an additional level of safety.

Please Note
- Your device must support USB-C Power Delivery (PD) charging.
- To achieve the full 90W output, use a USB-C cable rated for 5A / 100W. A standard 3A USB-C cable will limit charging power to approximately 60W.
